It works just like a wolf, you have to give him a bone to tame him/her and the wolf is invisible! If your Girlfriend/Boyfriend doesn't want to run then you have to click again on the (invisible) wolf! Sorry about the floating Girlfriend/Boyfriend! It doesn't really work on the snapshot of 1.9
