The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from any place across the globe. It also offers a lot of customization options. It also alerts you when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill which is a feature that is available in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to set the number of cups they would like to pour out. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water remains, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless part in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and dual compressors to preserve food items. The Ice maker is among the top we've tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of ice with a low water usage. This refrigerator is a great option for households with a single member or kitchenettes that want an integrated look and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for various reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never changing more than a fraction a degree--this is key to avoiding freezer burn. The refrigerator section of the fridge also did well. It reached the initial temperature within an hour and maintained the temperature throughout our testing.

Bosch is a household name for its top-quality appliances. Therefore, it's no surprise that Bosch counter depth refrigerator is one of them. Another issue with the door of this refrigerator. The sunken handles allow shorter people to open them from the bottom. However taller people have a hard time closing them without slamming. It would have been much better if they came with a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a fridge with a French door with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is higher than average for counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also less expensive than the best counter depth refrigerator with an icemaker, which makes it a desirable option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice for those looking for a French-door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a minimalist design that isn't as visually striking as other models, but it has enough features to make it a good option. Its most significant feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water and ice maker dispenser.

Another great feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. The drawer lets you redirect a portion of your fridge's cooling power to the area so that you can keep food items that require special attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this feature to set a general cooling level for the entire fridge though I've found that adjusting the general settings tends produce better results than specific ones.


In my tests, I found that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across various parts of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance but doesn't quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat to gain more precise information on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of stainless steel with a grey body with a "smudge-proof" finish. It does a great job of removing streaks and fingerprints even when compared with glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
