How To Explain Item Upgrader To A Five-Year-Old World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade of an item can be used to increase the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it may increase the rarity of an item or mark Level and increase other stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a specific amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its stats increase in value. This is the sum of all its leveled up benefits (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades to items can be costly depending on the upgrader and the kind of upgrade you decide to make. This is due to the sheer number of perks that need to be modified to upgrade an item.

It is also used to enforce gating requirements when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It can also be used as a gating requirement while waiting to queue for dungeons and scenarios, and raids, as well as to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is capped at a lower level). item upgrading can be found in the character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell equipment players can look at the level of an item. It's a good indicator of the quality of an item and the amount of damage it's capable of causing. The level of an item can be used to compare items when looking at the inventory of a seller.

On your PC, you can check the level of the item using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the full item description, including its value. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are several theories on how the item level calculation is made. One theory suggests that the item level is determined by formulas that determine how valuable the stats of an item really are. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different worth and gems in sockets increase the overall value of the item. This can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is usually quite close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.

This isn't the only factor that affects the level of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped may change its stats. For example, it could add a level to the item's haste, or crit rating. Items dropped in higher-level instances will have higher ilvl.

Item Stats

The stats of an item can make or break an item for players. The game uses them in many ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to a single weapon and to encourage them to try out other weapons. The stats of a base weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modification that are in turn boosted by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. A grey or white item for instance, can only be upgraded one time however, items with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times with higher costs.

Another way to change the stats on an item is through affixes. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes can provide the item extra damage, or add a unique ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or cutting down the duration of cooldowns) or make the item unique by giving a special name to the item.

All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade window, pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold and other items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which stats they want to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However, all items will have at least one stat in the range, unless they are a unique item or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

This is another thing that could be altered by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or selecting which stats to enhance. Like the base equipment, this will have to be done per item and the interface for item comparison will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the chance of finding items as well as the properties created by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade equipment earlier in the game. This is especially useful for early game runs, because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

Luck can also boost the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each item level. They can also be enhanced by using anti-materials such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons have the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to grant a further +40 Luck or to boost the existing Luck of an item up to 140.

Furthermore there are certain items, like the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be used to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items are available in the shop or crafted with the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.

The success rate of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to the extent to which the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of an upgrade failing can't exceed 100%.

The success of an upgrades is also influenced by the luck of that item. All items have a base success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases that chance by an additional five percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above the items in the inventory. This may block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
