Her main drawback is that she has few offensive buffs. However her damage mitigation buffs can make the difference between a build with the highest damage focus versus one that doesn't. The Duo boon adds weakness to enemies each when you strike them, which is especially useful during battles where it's hard to avoid being hit, like in Elysium or Styx.
Athena is like her cousin Zeus at times, can be too confident and believe she knows more than anyone else. She doesn't appear as close to her cousin as the other Olympian gods and she's often criticizing him.
Athena like Hermes, can provide great god-buffs to almost any weapon. However, her boosts to attack aren't as strong and it's better to go for another god with more powerful attack multipliers like Poseidon or Athena. Her shield special attack slows down the speed of enemies' movements and her Frost Flourish blessing can increase your attack power and special attack damage. However, it's not as powerful as other Gods in their respective versions. Her blessings can be very beneficial and should be accepted.
