This fridge is a great choice, despite the small blip. It has a large freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door fridges, and it holds a good amount of frozen foods compared to similar models.

The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is roughly on what you would expect from the size of a French door fridge costing this much. It also has a decent sized ice maker packed into the left-hand door, although it's not the biggest I've seen.

They're easy to open and close, although I found their plastic textured coatings to be a little difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range with Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and offers a ton of customization options. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked as well as when the freezer or fridge requires defrosting, and when the filter needs to be changed.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill it's an option in a few other GE fridges that allows you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to disperse at once. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water remains but it's not as helpful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It is designed to look as a seamless element of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a veggie compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer, and two compressors to preserve food. This refrigerator is ideal for a small household or a kitchenette with a built-in appearance and top-of-the best food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for a few reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just a few degrees Fahrenheit, and never changing more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial in preventing freezer burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well. It reached the temperature it was set within a matter of hours, and maintained that temperature throughout our testing.

It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge has a standard French door design, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded down to make space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker, making it simple to transfer ice when needed. They have handles that are sunken on the front, which allow shorter people to easily open them from the bottom, however they're still difficult for taller people to guide closed without slamming the doors. It would have been much better if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also a bit less than the top counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which helps make it a popular choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune this Frigidaire is a solid option. It has a simple design that isn't as striking visually as other models but it does have enough features to make it a good choice. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food items like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a large ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits above the two crisper bins, is another great feature. This drawer lets you direct the majority of the fridge's cooling power to this area, so it can be used to store food items which need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

In my tests, I discovered that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent in different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary much from 38 degrees. This is a great performance, but it isn't quite at the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is constructed of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body that has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does a great job of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing even when compared to the glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
