20 Resources That Will Make You Better At Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to boost an item's gear rating up 700 points and also add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For instance, a perfectly broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't change much after an upgrade, and aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats, such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage to PvP. They also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. This bonus could be more than the damage that an upgrade alone can do.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons can also alter the stats of the base. While this is usually a good thing, it can have some negative effects as well. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their performance. In the case of a helm or chest, it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will gain upon upgrading, along with their relative values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will strike for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute statistic.
A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button with arrows that circle in the item menu. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses, fire, and magic. This makes it easier to traverse difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense your character has the more value you can get from each point of health you have therefore it is important to improve your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game, and to unlock each one you have to complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the corresponding fountain and then you can talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. You'll require anything from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in frigid environments with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with your friends.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on upgrading it for physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have some upgrades for the chest armor and helmets so that you can escape some monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, if consumed, give the player a temporary status effect. There are five different types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness.
item upgrade can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a table or the Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you re-use it, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the way potions are used.
item upgrader for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the item hover display. The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. Additionally, using a potentio in a cauldron that is full drains the contents and refills the bottle.
Finally, there are simmering potions made using splash and dragon breath potions. Similarly, a lingering potions can be enhanced by adding redstone. The potion table has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, like the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not particularly significant, such as a tiny thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded, can be swapped at will without losing statistics.
The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a new trinket. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the previous trinket but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
When the old Trinkets are no longer usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl after they no longer have value, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket, unless it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than buying a new one.
