20 Trailblazers Leading The Way In Lightest Double Stroller Lightest Double Stroller

When searching for a lightweight double stroller, weight and folded dimensions are important factors to take into consideration. Picking one that is easy to handle and compact when not in use makes it easier to place in the trunk of your car and navigate through airport gates and foreign streets.

The best lightweight strollers feature a lightweight, easy fold and self-standing mechanism to reduce the strain on parents' bodies. Many strollers have various seating options and some can even accommodate infant car seats.

Kolcraft Cloud Plus

Created for families traveling. Lightweight, with a simple one-hand compact fold. The front suspension and all-terrain wheels as well as the multi-position reclining seat, can be used for children up to 50 pounds. Parent and child trays with a large storage basket as well as three-tier canopy with peek-a-boo window for maximum sun protection.

The Cloud was awarded one of the lowest marks in our quality tests due to the fact that it has a thin seat made of hard plastic and a design which feels dated. It's also more expensive than other strollers that are lighter and is therefore not the best option when you're looking for a low-cost option.

Although it's not the lightest double stroller, it comes with enough features to be worth a look. double pram and pushchair make it easy to navigate it on flat surfaces. It can also jump curbs without much effort. The low handle of the Cloud is a problem but it's at knee height, and not adjustable. It's not comfortable to push your legs hanging in the air like that and it's not helping that it lacks padding.

During testing, we found that the Cloud was easy to set up and opened. To close it, it's a bit more difficult. You have to slide the slider before you press the large white button. This can be a hassle especially if you're juggling kids while doing it.

The Cloud has a small, but deep storage basket that could be used to fit a medium-sized diaper bag. It's a little narrow however, and you'll likely have to put something in it for the back to retrieve it. The Cloud comes with an adult tray and a child tray each with two cup holders. But both are too narrow for larger cups or bottles.

Kolcraft is a family-owned business which has been in existence since 1946. They started by making diapers and crib pads however, they now manufacture various baby products, including highchairs and infant car seats. The company is located in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS

Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist style that's perfect for traveling. It's super light at just 18lbs (lighter than some single strollers!) It folds flat, making it easy to transport and store. It also comes with independently reclined seats as well as large SPF 50 sunvisors with peekaboo window. The visors are adjustable to accommodate children of different heights. It also has a one step linked parking brake and is Disney-size approved.

Jeep's swivel wheel system is also great for navigating over bumps and uneven terrain. This stroller doesn't accept car seats. Your child must be at minimum six months old and possess a strong neck control in order to be able to ride in the front seat. It does come with an attractive, three-panel sun canopy, however and each seat comes with its own snack tray as well as cup holders for the parents.

Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is another incredibly lightweight stroller that can be used side by side. It's a bit heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it's amazingly thin and slim (26.5 inches wide!) and has a ton of luxe features that make it ideal for travel. It has a super simple fold, is very movable and can fit in the overhead compartments of airplanes and trunks easily.

Similar to the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double and Mountain Buggy Nano Duo, the Joovy Kooper X2 is another tri-fold ultralight double stroller. It is similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but it has a few distinct differences. It's also a bit more expensive, but it offers greater maneuverability and an extra sun canopy. It has a convenient strap for carrying and can be used by children weighing up to 44 pounds per seat.

Summer 3D Pac for Infants CS+

Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a lightweight stroller packed with features. It is not only incredibly light at only 13 pounds but also comes with a ton of storage space, including cup holders for the parent and child, a child's sippy-cup pouch and a parent's storage pouch and so on. This stroller can also be used with a child's chair and has a brake that flips that is easily engaged. This stroller is designed to expand along with your child. It can be transformed from a baby stroller to a toddler stroller simply by attaching car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children ages 6 months and older.

This stroller has only swivel-wheels and has no locking capabilities and therefore may not be the best choice for terrain that is steep or rocky. It's still a good option for families of all sizes, since it is able to be easily maneuvered on paved surfaces and other smooth surfaces.

This stroller is one of the lightest double strollers that has full-size features in a sleek compact design. It folds in one hand and stored in the trunk or garage. It can be used as a travel stoller and is compatible without adapters for most car seats.

The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is distinct from other strollers for travel because it has two distinct seats that can each hold up to 100 pounds. The seats have individual leg rests as well as 3-panel canopies that include flip-out sunvisors and peekaboo window.

The seats are cushioned for your baby's comfort and have a 5-point padded safety harness that can be adjusted to three different heights. Each seat has an infant cushion that is ideal for babies. Parents will appreciate the cup for both parents and children, as well as the holders, a cell phone holder, and large storage basket. The stroller comes with the Yoyo+ Board which transforms it into a tandem.

Joovy X2 Kooper

The Kooper X2 double stroller is an excellent option for parents who want a lightweight double that can accommodate two children. The sling-style seats are comfy and provide a similar amount of headroom, allowing kids to sit side-by-side. Contrary to other strollers with side-by-side seating this one Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat that's an ideal spot to nap. The recline mechanism is simple to use but doesn't go really flat. Kids who are taller may notice a dangling leg when sitting in a reclined posture. It also has a huge canopy that we found to be more effective in blocking out sun than other options in our review of the top double strollers.

The stroller is light enough to maneuver through door frames, which was a big issue for us with some other models we tried. It folds easily and the handlebars are close to the ground for easy transport. The only downside is the small storage space. When full of toys for kids it feels cramped.

In our lab tests of double strollers, our team has evaluated various factors to determine how easy the stroller is to use, including how simple it is to set up and fold and adjust the safety harness as well as close and open the brakes, raise and carry the folded stroller as if it were to be placed in a trunk of a car, and then install and remove an infant car seat (if applicable). We also evaluated the durability and strength of the stroller, as well as whether the strollers have a tray for parents that can be used by both children.

The Joovy Kooper X2 received the highest score in our Strollers Test Program for its ease of use. It also earned the top rating in our latest guide to the best double strollers. Its simple-to-use design features one-hand recline that is tilt-free with a huge canopy that can rotate forward to provide shade, and features a mesh for ventilation you can see through when it's tilted. There are also individual kid trays with built-in cupholders, zipper parent pockets as well as a huge storage basket.
