1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is the latest in Ecovacs' line of hybrid robot vacuums and mops. This model that is dry and wet comes with the upgraded AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR that is similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area that is up to 32 feet by the 270-degree angle. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, which makes it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mops. In my testing, the X2 Omni took just over a minute to wash its pad and begin work. I also noticed that it was more precise than other models that seemed to follow a gridded route around rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms as well as make "Zambani patterns" both in and out of the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dust bin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products, the X2 Omni is easy to set up and start using. It takes just minutes to put the dock in position, plug it in, and pair with your Wi-Fi network at home. Then, robot vacuum for pet hair Robot Vacuum Mops can start the app and begin with your first cleaning project. I was able to modify my floor plan within 15 minutes. This included creating restricted areas for mopping and sweeping as well as rearranging the positioning of furniture that is mounted on walls and more. The X2 Omni was impressive during my tests. It scored high in the areas of pet hair removal as well as debris removal, and was near-perfect in its results for edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The ECOVACS T10 Omni is a powerful mopping and vacuum machine. It is the most advanced model of the brand's T-line, and features the brand's new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbing. It also has YIKO built-in, a first-of-its-kind natural language processing technology that allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, establish cleaning schedules, and adjust settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single run. The two modes require you attach and remove the mop heads as needed, which is fine for most homes but not suitable for people with busy lifestyles.

The Deebot T10 Omni is a superb robot vacuum and delivers impressive results in our tests for pet hair. It removed more than 96% debris from our hardwood floors. This is a remarkable performance. It also did an excellent job on carpet and tile and tile, getting rid of more than 99% of dirt and debris.

This robotic mop and vacuum comes with large docking stations that offers cool water auto-cleaning for its mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L bag that's simple to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to wash and dry its mop pads while using them. It doesn't have a tray that can be removed, which means that dust, dirt and other grime can slowly build up on the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model made by Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It comes with enhanced smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, in addition to twin turbine suction technology that adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robot cleaner that's appealing even if its claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a traditional robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular shape with sweeping wheels and an elevated area for sensors. However, flip it over there's a motorised floor brush plus a single side sweeper brush which pushes dirt from the edges of the machine into the main path of the robot's'mouth'. It's a bit smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to access under sofas and chairs.

Its mapping system lets you set up no-mop areas and specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting things like its charging station, and isn't great at climbing over carpets. It was good at getting pet hair off of carpets. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of kitty litter.

Although it can be controlled via the app it's also controllable via the app. X8 Hybrid also comes with a series of physical buttons on its base, which allow you to choose a cleaning mode and switch the robot off or on. These buttons can be used to establish areas that aren't allowed to enter and view real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty, and will tell what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or notify you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model of high-tech vacuum is able to pick up pet hair, kibble, and other messes with remarkable efficiency. It can also move effortlessly around furniture legs. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, such as two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be operated via the Neato App, where cleanings are scheduled and maintenance requirements are tracked. The X2 Omni is a great choice for large homes that have a mix of hard and carpet floors. However it will require some planning in advance to avoid getting entangled with toys, power cables, or other unexpected obstructions.

This robot did well in our tests of hardwood floors and food particles. It picked up everything, from one rice grain to several dog food pieces with only one swipe. It had some trouble transitioning to rugs, but in general this vacuum cleaner is ideal for large rooms with flooring of all kinds and a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive but it's an excellent buy for people who want to be able to leave the house hands-free so they can get out and do other things or do chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to tackle difficult dirt or spills. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known upstart brand is the cheapest robot we've tested yet and offers an exceptional value for the money. Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This is why it's less effective as other models on this list. It's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners. Its mopping mode was very effective in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as sturdy however it is superior in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It cleans floors that are bare more thoroughly and does a fair job on carpets with a low pile and uses smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It can be directed to a specific location, and has a suite of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It even lets you stop and restart a cleaning session which is ideal for households with pets.

Its self cleaning brushroll prevents tangles and can hold up to 30 days of dirt. It comes with of side brushes that are angled to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that captures dust, allergens and dander.

The iQ robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It works with a smartphone application which lets you alter the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app lets you check the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications in the event of any issues during the cleaning session. You can utilize your voice to control it with an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device If you don't have either options, you can mark areas with physical boundary marker strips.

The iQ is good at cleaning bare floors, and it does a decent job on carpets that are sagging and low-pile. However it doesn't provide the same level autonomy as our top picks. It is also expensive and its recurring cost can be quite costly.
