It's not the best cat litter eater, however, with our tests showing it can only remove about 90 percent of the fur from hard floors.

Other features of the 980 include dual multi-surface rubber brushes, which grab dirt from hard floors and carpet, along with a spinning brush that sweeps debris into the bin of the robotic vacuum. The sensors for floor tracking help it navigate between furniture and around edges, and Cliff Detect prevents the Roomba from slipping down stairs. It also automatically returns to the base station for easy recharging in between sessions. Although the 980's battery lifespan and bin size isn't as impressive as some other robot vacuums, it's a reliable and solid machine that can keep your floors clean for hours and hours.
