Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools. They provide an extra bonus or effect while the equipment in use. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as an incentive, or even created by crafting materials. Alongside providing bonus attributes, upgrade items can also have cosmetic effects.

Infusions, inscriptions, as well as enhancements are a type of upgrade component. They aren't generally accessible to the general public and can only be used on ascended equipment or certain weapons that aren't ascended from the Factions Campaign. You can retrieve infusions, inscriptions and enrichments from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool.

Like item upgrade are able to be traded while still connected to the item they are upgrading, and they can be re-used after being reclaimed. These upgrade items can be used to boost the quality of armor and weapon, without spending Dilithium. They can double the likelihood that an item will receive a high-quality upgrade.

An upgrade component placed within an item can be replaced with a different one however, it will destroy the previous one (except for upgrades of ascended equipment and legendaries). Only upgraded items with an identification level of 0 or higher can be upgraded with upgrade components incorporated into them. If you upgrade an existing weapon that already has a suffix or prefix upgrade the item will be named as it appears on the game screen (for instance, adding the Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor makes it Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can own up to three upgrade items at a time.

Glyphs

Glyphs are a fantastic addition to any product. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, which increases the power of the item. These glyphs can be obtained through the dungeons and some even be found in specific World Tier 3 areas. It's important to remember that glyphs can only be used by players who have created a dungeon that has the same depth.

To make use of a Glyph you first have to create it using components and then connect them via anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph using components, you can make use of an array of paths and anchors. Then, drag the element near a highlighted component to snap it into place.

Some glyphs have conditions to satisfy, like having a minimum of 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some glyphs require a specific number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which may be a bit difficult to achieve. Some glyphs also have a radius, which increases as you level it up.

Glyphs are available for various items and can be added to all weapons except for weapons of a particular class. Certain glyphs come with additional requirements, like the requirement for a certain amount of Dexterity damage or Attack damage for a specific part of the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph adds the chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has 15% chance to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.

Some glyphs may also be applied to restricted use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.

The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. These glyphs are particularly useful for classes that employ ranged weapons, such as Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies that hit the Hero susceptible to damage.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to reroll the result of an Action. They are discarded when the reroll happens. Reroll tokens are accessible in a variety of ways, such as through raids and dungeons or through participating in skirmishes. They can also be purchased in the store, or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials because they let players reroll the rewards from the chest at the end.

Recycle points are available for items at level 1. When an item is recycled, it will add a specific amount of points to the gauge of upgrade. This value scales depending on the item's value and rarity. Additionally the upgraded item will not keep its level when it is rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item increases depending on its level.

The player may also make use of reroll tokens to reroll an item. However it won't restore the item's original stats or levels. This is useful for players who wish to reroll an item they don't love but still want to keep it in their collection.

There are three different types of upgrade tokens that are available in the game: reroll random, and upgrade. Each type has a few subtypes. For instance, tokens that reroll come in three different levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each requires a product of the appropriate level to create a new item with the same quality.

To use reroll tokens, right-click the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select a type of token. The tokens that are available are Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The use of an Item token will create a new Item of any type. Using the Weapon or Misc token will create a new weapon of the same faction.

The item may be upgraded to a different item with similar stats, but at a higher level. This will occur when the item is in the Pool that is not droppable or has been transferred to it as part of the Franchise Card.
