Upgrade components

Upgrade components are things that can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to give an added benefit or additional effect while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted, gotten as rewards, or made using crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects in addition to giving bonus attributes.

Upgrade components include inscriptions enhancements and infusions. They aren't generally available for general use and they are only available to ascended equipment or some non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be extracted from equipment by using an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items can be traded and re-used while still attached to an item they are upgrading. These upgrades are the best option to boost quality of armor and weapon without spending Dilithium because they can increase the likelihood of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.

Upgrade components can be added to an item but the previous one is destroyed (except for legendaries and upgraded equipment). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or more. Adding an upgrade to an existing weapon equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the new item in the same way as it appears in game (for instance, adding an Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only own three upgrade items at once.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a valuable addition to any product, as they can provide a variety of unique advantages and boosts. Some glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, increasing its overall power. These glyphs are obtained by the completion of dungeons. They can also be found in specific World Tier 3 zones. It's important to remember that glyphs can only be used by characters who have created a root-dungeon of the same level of depth.

To use a Glyph it is necessary to create it using components and connect them using anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph from components, you can create it by using a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element close to an element highlighted to hold it in its place.

Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be met, such as 25 Dexterity within a specific area on the Paragon Board. Some glyphs require a specific number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which can be a challenge to attain. Some glyphs also have a radius, which increases as you move up.

Glyphs can be used on a variety of items and weapons, except for those belonging to a particular class. Some of these glyphs also have conditions, such as having a certain amount of dexterity or attack damage in a particular area on the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph adds the chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has an opportunity of 15%, making the Hero vulnerable for two turns.

Certain glyphs can also be applied to limited tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs count towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.

The most commonly used glyphs are the attack glyphs which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. They are particularly useful for classes with a range such as Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph renders enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damaging effects.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to reroll results that are rolled during an Action. When the reroll happens they are discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained in a variety of ways, such as through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. You can also buy them in the store, or from other players. They are particularly beneficial in dungeons or trials, since they allow players to reroll rewards from the bottom of the chest.

Recycle point values are provided for items at level 1. The upgrade gauge will increase by a specific amount of points each time you recycle an item. This is based on both the item's rarity and level. The upgraded item also will not retain its level if recycled, and the cost of recycling an upgraded item increases when its level increases.

Alternatively, a player can use reroll tokens in order to make an upgrade item rerollable, but this will not bring the item back to its original state or provide the original stats. This is useful for players who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment they don't love but want to keep in their collection.

There are three kinds of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll random and upgrade. Each type comes with a variety of subtypes. Reroll tokens, for instance come in three levels: rare, legendary, and enhanced. Each level requires an item from the respective level to create a new item of that level.

To make use of reroll tokens click on the Satanic or Angelic item in the inventory and select "Reroll Token". Then, select a kind of token. Home that are available are Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. The Item token can be used to create an Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon from the same faction.

There is also a chance that the item will be upgraded to a new item with an increased level and the same extra stats. This is likely to happen when the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
