Item Upgrading: What's No One Is Discussing World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for instancethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be available at the time of the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure what will be improved after an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate chances of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are also a few rare glyphs to be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is best to put Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling


The item upgrading system allows players to increase the stats of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player upgrade the equipment they have the original item will be replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with an initial level and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to personalize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an item, it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the more you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to revert back to its original state, requiring the player to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit attack damage, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

upgrade item of resources required to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For instance they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs that are listed above.
