The fridge is equipped with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment has 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a French-door fridge at this price. It has a decent sized refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. However, it's not the largest one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelving in both compartments to create a customized storage arrangement for the items you need to keep. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS also looks attractive. The LED lighting is a nice addition and the inside storage bins have the third shelf, which folds down to allow you to store items that are tall. The drawers are equipped with temperature controls, so you can set them to Beverage, Meat or Deli settings. The drawers are simple to shut and open however I found the plastic's textured coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you would expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and offers numerous options for customization. It also sends you notifications when the door is unlocked, when the freezer or fridge must be defrosted and when the filter requires a change.


It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill the option that is that is available in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to choose how many cups they want to dispense. It does have an indicator on the fridge display to show how much water you have remaining, but that's not as useful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to look like a seamless piece in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer and has dual compressors for maximum preservation of food. The Ice maker is among the most efficient we've ever tested and produces pyramid-shaped ice that is low in water consumption. This fridge is the perfect option for a single family or kitchenettes who want a built-in look and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This fridge was rated the top in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is crucial to prevent freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the desired temperature for initial set within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady throughout the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances. It's therefore no surprise that the Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. This app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your smartphone or tablet. The refrigerator is pricey, but offers great features and capabilities at a reasonable price.

It is crucial to be aware of the limitations of your fridge. You may need to get creative with tall items because the fridge is limited in shelf space. The shelves are also not spillproof and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp items. The trays are easily removed from the fridge. However, they must be cleaned frequently to stop the growth of mold.

The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. The handles that are sunken allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However, taller people still have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those who want to combine the aesthetics of a French-door refrigerator with an efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also less expensive than the most expensive counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, making it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice for those looking for a French-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a basic fridge that may not be as appealing as its rivals however it has enough features to make a an excellent option. Its most significant feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food items like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser and a decent ice maker that operates quickly.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits above the two crisper bins, is a excellent feature. This drawer lets you redirect some of your fridge's cooling power to this area so that you can keep food items that require extra attention. You can adjust this feature by using the slider located on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this to adjust the general cooling settings for the whole fridge, though I've found that adjusting the general settings tends to be more effective than specific ones.

During my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different areas of the fridge. french door fridge with ice maker in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary much from 38 degrees. This is a solid performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our ratings.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from gray-bodied stainless with a "smudge resistant" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
