The client will keep track of each of tiny increments and then send them to the server. The server will then transmit the updated game's state back to players. The servers will now know the exact moment that you shot your shot, jumped, peeked, and other inputs.

While a minute-long video is not enough to cover everything the video explains that every piece of data sent by clients has a time stamp, and that the server will gather all the data from all players in chronological order before sending it back. According to the video the CS: GO server will be able to send up to twice as much data as a 64-tick servers.

That means that if the game's tick speed goes up to 128 Hz, it will be able to handle your commands instantly and consistently. The micro-tick updates also reduce input lag by ensuring that the server responds to your actions without any glitches or delays.

Obviously, this is only the beginning of the technical improvements Valve is making to the game. The company is working on dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve how smoke interacts with the environment and is also upgrading all of the maps with high-resolution textures, lighting and models. Maps
