Upgrades to gear increase its stats base and often increases its other features. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements applied.

The most powerful racial Shield Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the un-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens are a way to reroll an acquired item like armor, weapon or ring. The item is replaced by another of the same kind and comes with different bonuses. Reroll tokens can be an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't retain the level of the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.

The survivors can get tokens to reroll in many ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests, or purchased at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attribute of an item, for example increasing its damage.

Players can roll equipment in three categories: physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player an extra health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade takes an item to a higher-quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades require a common item. Rare upgrades require an item that is unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces, remains on the space until the next Success is rerolled. This lets you avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the beginning of each preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grabbing on to them. When they are opened, they display a description and icon for the appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's shop will swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.

These are special stones that can increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. To upgrade their gear players must first find the item they want to upgrade and then click on the "level up" button. Once an upgrade element is inserted into an item, it cannot be removed and changed without restriction, however, the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restrictions.

Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components also have additional modifiers that can increase the stats of the item.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and gives an additional 20% chance to block. Additionally the dps enhancement "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.


Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but they are not because they boost stats. They are more valuable to players when they get a perfect roll. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.

The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. These include the item type (either Weapon or Armor) and the tier of that item and the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
