5 Arguments Item Upgrade Is Actually A Good Thing
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random enhancements applied.
The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP and/or add additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more tradable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you reroll a purchased item, like a weapon, armor or ring. This replaces the item with an identical item, but with different benefits. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. They don't maintain the original equipment's condition and any wasted resources won't get compensated.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors by a variety of means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in chests and crates or buy them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute on a piece of equipment that could include increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.
Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health.
Resource to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and ring. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a higher quality. To produce them, you'll need a higher level token to reroll. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require an item that is either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker for rerolling, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action areas, remains on the space until the next Success is to be rerolled. This helps to avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes that show up at the start of every preparation phase. They can be opened with Interact by pressing on them. When they are opened, they will display an image and description of the Appliance or Ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of coins.
As a result, you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This affects the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve armor, weapons and other items. These stones are special stones that increase the value of an item by improving its stats or characteristics. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a price. In addition, players can get these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item then click the "level up button". This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
After deciding on the item to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. The item will be upgraded in level by a specific percentage. The process of upgrading can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item. It's a great way for players who want to gain an advantage in combat, but don't want to strain their wallets. Furthermore players can transfer experience and progress of an upgraded item onto a new gear by clicking on the "transfer" tab.
New players may find it difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of ways to acquire these stones. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons armor, helms, and trinkets. It is achieved by the combination of an item with upgrades at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will receive an upgraded level. This process continues until the item is at its highest level.
Items that have upgraded base stats display the blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, can't be added to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade component also requires a certain number of items as well as a certain equipment level.
The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left is where players can add an item to be upgraded, and the right side shows a glimpse of what the gear will look like once it is at its next level. Once players have enough materials and has pressed the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
A piece of gear can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time it is upgraded, the base stats of an item will be increased by a small amount. The maximum level of an item is 19.
Once an item has reached its maximum level, its upgrades will no longer be available for it. Once a piece of equipment attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide an added bonus or effect when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted, acquired by completing quests, or traded between players. Upgrade components can be changed by acquiring new ones. However, this can cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.
Requirements
Upgrades to items give players the ability to increase certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently have equipped. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the item type, but typically you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to weapons and equipment. This gives them extra effects or an increased item level. These upgrades can be obtained through a variety of sources in the game, including through crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is added to an object it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However it is possible to swap glyphs freely.
Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that can improve the item's statistics.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and gives an additional 20% chance to block. The dps "Wildfire", however, increases weapon damage.
Upgrades can be beneficial to certain items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable to players if they can get the perfect roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and can be worth up to 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.
The game will display the requirements when you select the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. The game will show the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
Once you've met the required conditions for upgrading, the game will place the item in your inventory, and the progress bar will be updated to show how close to completing it. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
