Upgrades to items are an essential part of gearing up your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and enhancements.

They also provide rewards and upgrades. They can be acquired through the Blacksmith.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds one level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapons

If a weapon is upgraded, it gets a base damage bonus, as well as an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. Most armor upgrades increase the strength or defense of an item by just a little. However, certain upgrade components can offer significant enhancements to strength or defense, especially when upgrading an item that is epic.

Certain upgrades offer special abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can be useful in combat, such as providing a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades also have passive effects, such as cutting down on the amount of damage taken while wearing armor or adding the chance to avoid attacks.

Upgrades to armor may require multiple attempts, based on the type. When you have a trinket that requires upgrading, place it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will have a random effect on the trinket either increasing its duration or strengthening its effects. You can reforge the Trinket as many times as you want however it will always have the same effect.

You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy and increase the trinket's power by a small amount.
