One thing led to another, and from the Nautilus, Daniel gravitated to the Royal Oak next. Daniel describes the Royal Oak and Nautilus as "companion pieces" and we couldn't agree more. If you're going to own one Royal Oak, the A-Series is the one to own – and it fits in nicely with Daniel's passion for going back to the beginning too. This example shows a bit of wear-and-tear, Neuro Phones but is totally honest and looks fantastic. In this still relatively new age of vintage watch collecting, the way in which celebrities are tied to certain pieces never fails to amaze. You’ve got Paul Newman, Nina Rindt, Sophia Loren, Jo Siffert, Jim Clark, etc., and continues on and on, further into obscurity. You would think they would have different levels of interest impacting their final results, but that doesn't seem to be the case whatsoever. I can't help but find it utterly absurd that a current, non-limited production example of the Chronomètre à Résonance is valued within CHF 40,000 of a first-generation Underground Tech model from 1999.I've worn my pink Baby-G swimming many times, and I always just forget it's there. The Zodiac, a higher quality watch, looked much better under the crystal clear blue green of the lake, and as I swam – breaststroke, because I couldn't bring myself to dunk my head – I kept my eyes on it. The bracing contrast of the blue and the white kept me going.
