In comparison to the last one I came across, which was the best I’d ever seen, this one certainly stands out as the more impressive example. That’s because its dial is quite literally immaculate and free of any flaws. On a watch with a sunburst dial, this really counts, in that the slightest mark will really stand out like a sore thumb. My only fake piaget watch gripe would be that the case looks to have been polished, though its defining lines are still visible, so it’s ultimately not a deal breaker.As Seiko's established luxury offering, there was little likelihood that Grand Seiko would let their 60th anniversary go by without a limited edition or two (or four). Announced earlier today, Grand Seiko, which was launched in December of 1960 with the goal of creating the best possible Seiko watches, has produced four limited-edition models for their diamond anniversary.Of course, being a NOMOS Club Campus, the watch features a closed caseback – a choice the company continues to prioritize in the collection, primarily as a way to offer a place for personalized engravings. After all, the line's target demographic is right there in the name; the Club Campus wants to appeal to high school and college graduates who are looking for their first nice watch.It's not a traditional "complication," but Berneron has broken convention in another interesting way: he reversed the typical order of the hands on the dial, with the shorter hour hand sitting above the minute hand. Berneron says this allows for the crystal to be more dramatically curved, making the watch's profile 15 percent thinner.

The Octo Roma is still Bulgari's entry point into the Octo collectioNestled safely inside that lightweight but beautifully finished titanium case, we find Grand Seiko's 9RA5 Spring Drive caliber, which was first used (for a non-limited dive watch) in the SLGA015. With five days of power reserve and a monthly accuracy rating of +/- 10 seconds, the 9RA5 represents the cutting edge of the Spring Drive movement for sports watches and was recently made thinner and stronger by Grand Seiko.
