In May 2023, our Wizz Air flight from London to Athens got canceled, causing a three-day delay for the earliest rebooking. To salvage our holiday, we bought a £1,236 flight with British Airways for the next day and spent an additional £279 on a hotel near Gatwick Airport. We asked Wizz Air for a £1,144 refund (new flights + hotel), plus £700 compensation for the inconvenience. Despite communication efforts, the airline only paid £700 and declined the rest. Our claim to AviationADR was successful, ruling that Wizz Air owed us £1,844. However, the airline is still withholding the remaining balance, and we've had no response to our emails.
