Hey Everyone!
I’ve been pushing my current PC to its limits with complex datapacks and entity-heavy command systems. With all the talk about AI PC featuring NPUs (Neural Processing Units), I wonder if this tech could help with Minecraft’s performance.
I’m considering an upgrade and want to know:
Does Minecraft (or mods like OptiFine) even use AI acceleration?
Would an NPU help with chunk loading/entity processing in command-heavy worlds?
Are there any AI-upscaling benefits for resource packs or shaders?
Looking at models like the MSI AI-ready PCs or Lenovo Yoga with AI Core, but don’t want to overspend on gimmicks. My budget is 1,200 – 1,800, and I prioritize:
Single-core speed (for Minecraft’s Java engine)
32GB RAM (for massive command structures)
Future-proofing for upcoming Minecraft updates
Has anyone tested Minecraft on these new AI systems? Or is a traditional gaming PC still the way to go? Appreciate any insights!
