Hi, problems with Wi-Fi.

I have 3 Samsung air conditioners of type AR NXWS* for home use: 2 x 12000 BTU, 1 x 9000 BTU.

I bought the first 12000 BTU unit 2 years ago, and after a lot of problems and a lot of updates to the iOS Smart Things management app, I entered a stable phase of remote control of my devices.

Now, 2 weeks ago, I bought more devices of the same model range, both with Wi-Fi.

My boy, these "new devices" I need to disconnect from the network and reboot every day. After 1 day, they both show up in my SmartThings app as offline.

One of them is in the same room as my UniFi UAP-AC-PRO. WTF, and suddenly it loses connection and shows up as disconnected in my list (luckily I'm at home and I can see the device is still working).

Have you ever encountered such stability problems? Is this a problem with the firmware (I didn't have such a drop in connection with an old device bought 2 years ago)?

Can I update the firmware or report this issue?

Thanks,

Once

Hi, I'm new to this forum since I installed a new air conditioner 2 weeks ago. I lost connection with Wi-Fi. At first I thought it was because Wi-Fi is turned off at night, but yesterday the device turned off during the day. This is the version that is installed: To restore the connection, I have to press and hold the ""Timer"" button on the remote control and wait for the ""AP"" function to timeout. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Paolo

This happens when you use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and 5 GHz at the same time. When it only uses 2.4 GHz, it performs much better than other devices on the same network. I'd recommend that you upgrade to 5 GHz Wi-Fi and leave it alone for a few weeks or so. You can use it directly instead of through a gateway. 5 GHz Wi-Fi has higher bandwidth, so even older devices may require a firmware upgrade https://www.airconservicingsingapore.com/installation/. If you still can't work the network, it's probably just a setup error.
