I have built a 300 watt off-grid shed which charges all my batteries, runs some power tools and lighting. I now want to move up in the world and take my house off-grid, but I am low income.

To start with someone is giving me a 5kw diesel generator. So I am working on: 1. Batteries and charge with generator 2. 3kw Inverter 3. Solar panels to minimise use of generator Whilst I am doing this I need to take the house off-grid. I live in the UK is there any laws I might need to deal with once I begin this project please?
