Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have any recommendations for good IP POE Security Cams, as my experience with these to date has been rather grim, and i will explain further;
Prior to a loft conversion 10 years ago i was able to completely wire my house in cat 6 and now have sockets in all rooms in my house which are supplied via a 48 way netgear GB POE managed switch and a 200MB feed from virginmedia.
About 6 months ago it seemed that all the rage for dependability and price point was reolink so i purchased the rlc-810a 4k camera mounted externally with about 30 feet of cat 6 cable to the switch and enable poe on the port being used, in this configuration was unable to get smooth 4k stream regardless of setting or whether this was streamed to mobile app via wifi or streamed directly through the wired network to a mac mini 2012 with 16gb of ram, did also try a hp note book running windows 10 and made zero difference still lots of jittering and poor frame rate. Also kept getting message in app that it was using constantly running a full memory capacity in the camera!
I did try a standalone POE injector and a different switch which made no difference whatsover when streaming to ios, android, windows 10 or MAC OS.
Therefore, as i still have a need for an external camera does anyone have any suggestions recommendations for a solid reliable quality camera that wont break the bank. The reolink build quality seemed amazing with a cast case design but just the electronics that let it down.

Hi! The issue with the camera in our yard became very acute after a series of robberies swept through our neighborhood last year. Initially, only what was in the yard was stolen. But then they began to climb inside the house, then it became really scary. Therefore, we decided that it is worth ordering a good video surveillance camera. Then we decided to turn to Vivint home security. We were absolutely satisfied, because the camera was broadcasting live directly to the security agency. The image quality was just great.
