The Platte River Campground Site is an archaeological site situated along the Platte River, inside the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore close to Empire, Michigan. It is huge as a to a great extent flawless record of ancient life throughout a long range of time. It was recorded on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The Platte River Campground site broadens 300 meters along the north bank of the Platte River and approaches 160 meters down. The site is a multicomponent site, with rehashed ancient occupations over the Middle and Late Woodland Periods just as memorable occupations around the turn of the twentieth century; subsequently, antiques were discovered covering a scope of time spans.
