Did anyone cross the US border recently (after April, 2022) for a leisure, day trip to US?

What are the current requirements for vaccinated Canadians to cross the border and come back the same day?

I love train travel, and that traveling by train is actually the point of the trip. While I've traveled a lot internationally, I've seen very little of the US, so I want to see as many different parts of the country as I can, including just seeing scenery through the train window. I've done Chicago to LA a couple of times as well as Chicago Glenwood and Chicago Boston. About 15,000 miles on db auskunft, including several other routes. Next week I'm planning on another trip!
