Inspired by Guy's post in another thread. Like many other things, normal is what you are used to. When I was little, my parents had fan ottomans and fan boxes. They didn't get air conditioning until I left after school. None of my schools had air conditioning, so my first regular air conditioner was in a college dorm. It seemed luxurious!
I understand that this is a purely regional topic, but in the summer of 2016 it was hot in the Midwestern United States.
Oh, I moved to a new apartment when I was 17, and air conditioners were installed there. It was salvation. Before that, I lived without air conditioning, and my room was on the sunny side. In the summer, it was impossible; it was complicated to sleep at night. But now it's much more incredible. When we ordered air conditioners, we were even given a guide as a bonus on how to repair different parts of the air conditioner yourself. Here https://www.marvellous.sg/aircon-light-is-blinking/ Here the problems with air conditioners and their solutions are described in more detail. I hope you will find the correct answer here. Good luck.
If the specialist is professional and experienced in his field then we should pay for his services. Otherwise he should not be paid extra compared to his service. Recently I was recommended by ac service in Dubai , and before that I used a service of a guy who could not always repair my air conditioner to the end.
