Perhaps the haircut with the greatest impact was John Edwards’ $400 haircut. This was arguably the turning point of his candidacy for the 2008 presidency. When word got out about his $400 haircuts, the public turned on him as someone who was out of touch with “normal voters,” elitist, and likely to just as freely waste their tax dollars on useless programs.
