Hi, everybody
I would like to become a teacher because I adore children, and I am very passionate about teaching and helping young children to improve, reach their full potential, and become happy and healthy adults. I would love it if one day I could look back and know that I changed the lives of my students for the better.
I would like to work with elementary school students, so a degree in elementary education and / or preschool would be more suitable for me. At the moment, it is very difficult for me to determine which age group I would be better off working with: with children of primary school age or with children of preschool age. I like both, and I know that each has its pros and cons. The only thing I know for sure is that I won't like working with high school students.
Perhaps I should mention that I live in Sydney and fully intend to stay here for the foreseeable future.
I've researched universities and degrees in education, and so far I've found that (please correct me if I'm wrong): - The University of Sydney is considered the best in terms of educational degrees and everything they apply for - The University of Sydney offers a Bachelor's degree in Primary Education and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education; they are divided into degrees, each lasting 4 years - Macquarie University offers a degree that covers both primary education and early childhood education; it is called: "Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) (from birth to age 12); it lasts 4 years; it clearly states that this degree allows you to teach in long-term day care, preschool, and elementary school settings - The University of Sydney is considered more prestigious than Macquarie University
These two universities would be my best choice.
Best of all, you should try to start with preschool children. If it is too easy and easy for you and you lose interest, go to the older children. And if you like it, you will remain in this position and will benefit society. I'm now thinking about how my child will pass the first day of daycare I'm very nervous, but I think I talked to him and everything should go smoothly. It will be necessary to look on the Internet how to communicate with children on this topic. Maybe I will find some interesting information. And I wish you to find your vocation. I believe in you, you have a good goal!
