Here is a list of a few things that I discovered while battling my insomnia that help me along the way to becoming insomnia free.
Avoid caffeine; caffeine is a stimulant and has been widely know as a major cause of insomnia. Everyday items that you use such as coffee, chocolate, colas, tee, and some medications contain caffeine. - Avoid liquor; liquor is like a double sided sword. Sure it may knock you out to sleep at first, but as your body metabolizes it, its lightens your sleep and starts to wake you up. People will argue over this for years because so many people feel like liquor is the answer. In actuality it really is not.
Finish off your regular exercises by taking a warm bath.
