At the moment, many of our facilities are very limited. But we worry that the unique Wakhi culture and slow way of life will be changed forever. We love the silence and beautiful nature, but fear that it will be destroyed by traffic pollution. Building a road takes a long time in the mountains, but we think in the next year or so it will be completed. Both the Chinese and Afghan governments want it to happen.
