It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the death of Patrick Kline '14. Patrick died in an automobile accident in Virginia earlier this weekend. At Trinity High School, Patrick was an honor student and a leader on the athletic fields, especially in football, basketball, and lacrosse. Patrick was also part of a family with very deep roots at Trinity. His parents, Rob ’83 and Lynne, have been incredibly devoted as volunteers to the school and its mission. Patrick’s sister, Kailey, graduated in 2008, and his brother, John, graduated in 2015. His uncles are also alumni, Rick graduating in 1985 and John in 1987. With John, his brother, Patrick studied at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, where he also starred on the football field. After college, Patrick coached football at his alma mater, at Marshall University, where he did graduate work, and at Virginia Tech. He was starting a career in business. Please keep the entire Kline family in prayer at this difficult time. “What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?...For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”--Romans 8:31-32, 38-39

This is some very horrible news!! You never know when this could happen and how bad it is going to be. The bad thing is that most people who have to end that way have good intentions. I hope everything is clear, and you don't have any questions about the accident or who was in the wrong. There are a lot of cases where the guilty person gets away because of a tragedy like this. If you have doubts, you can always call a car accident attorney and have everything cleared for sure.
