VPN:

Protects you from companies like your Internet service provider or "busted" public hotspots, from spying on all the sites you visit on the Internet A free VPN means that the VPN host pays money for you to surf the internet, and the people hosting the VPN can see everything you do if they are so inclined You can get logless, IP sharing VPNs, which are the ideal situation, and many advertise this feature, but there is really no way to confirm this I have no doubt that nation states own all the traffic anywhere, so if you're planning to kill a major figure, don't rely on a VPN Does not protect you from bad internet hygiene Larger VPN companies will have exit gateways around the world which is convenient for a variety of reasons

For viewing, I use uBlock and NoScript. The latter takes a lot of work, but it's worth it.

I use the free version of LastPass for passwords...works great in Chrome and on my phone. I have Windscribe Pro VPN on my torrent / Usenet computer... easy to set up, lots of servers around the world if there a geo-blocked site you want to get to, and they are a Canadian company.

I have been using the Opera browser for a very long time and also use the VPN service for encryption on the Internet. Also, the vpn service is able to surprise you by changing the region, it is convenient for communication in various forums. Earlier, when I still did not know what vpn was and how to use it, I was afraid for my safety. As a result, after I decided to find a vpn for myself, I spent a little time looking for a high-quality vpn service, and in the end my choice settled on a platform with reviews of vpn services (pinpointvpn.com) . At this point, I already feel completely safe on the Internet.
