East Cairo to the new administrative capital of egypt will be the first line of the project, extending 56,5 km. Sixth of October City will be connected to Giza by a 42-km-long second line. New Capital City and 6th of October City are now connected by mass transit for the first time. The new Capital City's journey time with a speed of 80 km/h will be around 60 minutes (for the 56.5 km line) and around 42 minutes (for the 42 km line). With the two lines finished, about 45,000 passengers will be transported per hour at maximum capacity, improving Egypt's mobility dramatically in a safe, sustainable manner.
