An hour later, Talemaivesi told me to wait while he darted into the forest. "Come on! This way!" I heard him shout after a few minutes. I followed him onto an unmarked jungle trail, ducking under fallen trees and scaling other obstacles. After 30 minutes, he pointed up at the canopy excitedly.
