All the games at a casino, with the exception of live poker, are games of chance. They are designed so that you win some, but also so that the casino (mathematically) wins a small percentage of each bet you make. The casino’s mathematical advantage is called house edge. That’s where the expression “the house always wins” comes from.

So what can you do? Although there’s nothing you can do to overcome the casino’s advantage, there are a few strategies that will lower it, so that you can leave a winner more often.

But my favorite game to play at the casino is live casino poker, because you compete against other players, not the house. Therefore there is no house edge.
