Like many classics, the Air Jordan 6 is primarily well known for its original colors. The Infrared, which effectively started strong a legacy still on-going, has seen a number of Retro releases since its inception Air Jordan 1 Custom - the most recent of which took place not too long ago in February of 2019. On March 26, 1987, Nike debuted its first sneaker showcasing the Swoosh's now iconic Air technology through a side-visibility window - the Air Max 1. Thirty-three years later, and with the continual ingenuity of Nike Air by way of Air Manufacturing Innovation, the company still celebrates the revolutionary cushioning platform on the release date of its first shoe.

Since then, the Air Jordan 12 has been in regular production and is a top-seller for Jordan Brand without much effort on the marketing end. Some of the more standout editions include the Jordan 12 Wings, which features a wear-away exterior that reveals a custom pattern, and a collaboration with Drake's OVO imprint. Seemingly inspired by the original Air Jordan 1's Royal ensemble from 1985, the upcoming retro opts for a two-tone arrangement across its Air Jordan 1 Zoom leather upper. The Fearless Ones collection is led by the AJI High FlyEase, which exemplifies the symbolic power of the AJI as a conduit for stories that share what it means to be fearless.

Applying a familiar Pine Green and color-blocking scheme, this Air Jordan III Retro comes with a subtle material twist. The shoe features genuine nubuck leather throughout the upper, tongue, collar and eye stays, and a 3D embroidered Jumpman logo on the tongue. When Celtics owner Walter Brown was asked shortly after the selection if he knew Cooper was Black, Brown is said to have exclaimed, I don't give a damn if he's striped or plaid or polka-dot, Boston takes Charles Cooper of Duquesne! He played four years in Boston and finished his professional career in 1956 with the Fort Wayne Pistons, helping the team win the Western Division and advance to the NBA Finals. The Zoom '92 carries both visual and functional details from the three shoes. J' to Erving, an expression of both friendship and the rooted intersection between basketball and music. As is the case with the Jordan 1 Low's OG variant, NIKE AIR branding on the top of the tongue also favors the rich navy hue that contrasts the bulk of the Black makeup found throughout the shoe's top-half. Underfoot, the sole unit also nods to its Royal-accented predecessor as White midsoles are accompanied by Mystic Navy tread.
