It is used to treat signs and symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease.It is also prescribed to treat conditions such as Restless Legs Syndrome.A disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement, often including tremors. Nerve cell damage in the brain causes dopamine levels to drop, leading to the symptoms of Parkinson's. The common side effects of taking PRAMIROL 1.5MG TABLET include sleepiness, dizziness, dyskinesia, nausea, hallucinations (seeing, hearing or feeling things that are not present), abnormal dreams, confusion, behavioural symptoms (Impulse control and compulsions), headache, double or blurred vision, low blood pressure, constipation, vomiting, swelling of body usually in the legs, decreased weight and appetite. It relieves Parkinsonism by stimulating dopamine receptors present in the striatum (part of the brain that is responsible for cognition, planning, decision-making, motivation, reinforcement, and reward perception). DIRECTIONS FOR USE Take PRAMIROL 1.5MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
