Most midi beds take standard UK single mattresses and the top bunk comes with a security rail for added peace of mind. Some models come with an trundle drawer with a pull-out that can be used for sleepovers, or to add additional storage space underneath the bed. These can be either open or fitted with doors (please check the product's specifications for more details).

A lot of midi cabins have a desk that can be moved from one level to the next, or chests. This allows the children to have their own space to store everything they own. It also means that they don't have to make use of floor space by putting up large wardrobes or shelves.

A few of the models have gone a step further with cabinet style storage that is flush mounted or a part of the headboard or footboard. This is perfect to store toys and books.
