The difference between the two is quite distinct and it gives both iterations their own vibe that still works as a whole. While editing the included images, the effect of the dials settled in my mind almost like taking two small circles of a larger abstracted painting or scene, wherein each is similar but feels like only a narrow slice of a larger design.Who knows where the colors on the dials of Watches & Wonders 2022 releases came from. All I know is that the watches below use color in a way that's both novel and exciting. Finally, we're living in a post-uniform-color-trend world.Ah yes, gold. It's a lot of money for a three-hand watch, even in a material and finish you don't see much. To me, the premium over the Snowflake and Pelagos 39 speaks more to the relative value proposition of those watches than to the Defy Revival being overpriced.
Universal Geneve has gained an almost cult-like following in recent years, and Farmerie, like so many others, was drawn to the timeless, vintage look of the brand. After taking his time and researching the company for over a year and a half, Farmerie opted for this Compax.Despite a small change in format from day-date to simply a date display, the 2020 MBII uses a very Repliki Richard Mille similar movement. Based on the ETA 2836-2, Bremont calls their decorated version the BE-36AE. ISO 3159 chronometer rated and ticking at 4 Hz, the MBII offers a power reserve of 38 hours. For this latest generation, Bremont has also fitted the BE-36AE with a new automatic bridge that offers increased shock resistance.This deep and detailed piece, written by Cole Pennington, originally appeared in HODINKEE Magazine Vol. 5.  There is also an accompanying recorded reading of the story (by Cole, himself) that I highly recommend you listen to. This is a thorough and fascinating look at a forgotten piece of Cold War history and the role a very special watch played in it all.All told, this is my only complaint with the watch, and it may be something I can change in the future, and for me, it's not a deal-breaker. That said, I do think that Seiko needs to sort this out and that a watch which nails so many other details should also nail this, too.
The new Group B Evoluzione watches continue to draw on these "golden age of rallying" cars for inspiration. The original Group B watches were made of two pieces – the hand-finished stainless-steel chassis that holds the movement and the titanium case with fixed-bar lugs. The watch measures 39 mm in diameter and weighs Réplicas Richard Mille rm 27 52 grams. The new Evoluzione is built on the same concept – however the chassis is made of CNC-milled aluminum with a 42 mm titanium case, and weighs only 45 grams.Upon taking a closer look at the enamel engraving, you’ll find the words “Royal Berkshire” presented proudly below what’s known in British military circles as the “China Dragon Cap Badge.” Logically, this would indicate that the watch was delivered to a high ranking official of the Royal Berkshire Regiment, as presumably not all were outfitted with a watch of such quality.Rolex won't provide exact numbers, but anything would help. If the result of this production increase yields one or two references in a boutique that are not labeled "For Exhibition Only," then that's a win in my book.Michele was enamored with the glamor of the past, but totThis creamy tweed suit look is my own little personal ode to the insane genius of Gucci's former Creative Director, Alessandro Michele. The look was pulled from Michele's last runway show for the brand. Titled #Twinsburg, the collection consisted  of 2 x 68 looks worn by 68 sets of twins. Even without knowing that Michele was to step down from his seven-year tenure, the show left a resounding impact.Certain developed a Regatta Timer for the 1972 Olympics which immediately explains the naming convention. Historically, and especially in the 1970s, Regatta timers are known to have all manner of funky design cues. None are quite as funky as this watch. The interplay of color, markers, branding, and functionality make this vintage Certina a true standout. It's the ideal combination of an aesthetic that speaks to an era and has bona fides to tie it all together.
