Carisoprodol may be a muscle relaxant that blocks pain sensations between nerves and therefore the brain. If any of those effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many of us who use this medicine do not have serious side effects. Tell your doctor straight away if you have any serious side effects, including confusion.
A very serious allergy to the current drug is rare. However, get medical help straight away if you notice any significant allergy symptoms, including rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing. What is the Precautions of Carisoprodol? Before taking Carisoprodol 500 mg, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or meprobamate, tybamate, or mebutamate; or if you have other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Ask your pharmacist for more information. Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical records, especially of: a particular blood disease (acute intermittent porphyria), kidney disease, illness, seizures, personal or case history of a substance use disorder (such as excessive use or addiction to drugs/alcohol). Carisoprodol 500mg medicine may make you feel dizzy or sleepy. Alcohol or marijuana (cannabis) can make you more dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that requires alertness until you are safely rolling in the grass. Avoid alcoholic beverages. Ask your doctor if you have been using marijuana (cannabis). Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about all the products you employ (including prescribed medicines, non-prescription medicines, and herbal products). Older adults may also be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, especially drowsiness, or confusion. These side effects can increase the risk of falling.
