My Renogy 40A MPPT charge controller says it needs to be attached to the bat before solar panels to avoid damage.
What if you lose bat power due to a breaker, fuse, or BMS cutoff?
Do I need to protect the thing with an SSR or mechanical relay to cut solar off when battery is lost?
I tried reaching out to Renogy. I got some partial English response that didn't really answer the question.
What does everyone else do?
