For roofers - I bought a house in Sydney. It currently has asphalt concrete shingles. They are spotted in places where the wind has blown a little, but there are no large naked spots. Strong winds, 50-60+ mph, are common every year. Taking these factors into account, is it possible to screw the galvalume sheets into the existing shingle layer, or is it necessary to remove the shingles and/or lay the crates? Therefore, I try to keep under control the cost of repairs, but do not allow the roof to leak or deflate. Thanks, guys.

Because of the winds, this happens very often. I also live in a city where there are different storms and we have very often if your roof is damaged. The other day, after another heavy rain, I decided to check my roof and saw that I needed repairs. I realized that I myself would not solve this issue and decided to use the service that my friend advised city2surfroofing.com.au. Pretty quickly everything was decided and I was glad of it. I just realized that I couldn't fix it myself because we need specialists here. Therefore, you should find a service that will fix your roof, otherwise, you may have big problems.

Hello. You should find specialists. If necessary, they can tell you in more detail about all the nuances in working with lofts, but already outside of this site.

A bit late to this thread but just wanted to add that having a metal roof over the top of existing shingles roof is totally fine. As a roofer roof restoration Sydney we have done quite a few of these ourselves as it means you don't have to replace the existing shingles (save time/money) and you get an extra layer of insulation as well. Another great thing about doing this is that the metal roof will help deflect heat off the roof so you get both thermal insulation benefits.

Hello. I want to ask knowledgeable people about the overlap of the roof of a complex geometric shape. We are finishing the construction of our cottage and, according to the plan, there is a roof of a very interesting shape. What roofing material is better to use in such a situation and why? Preferably durable.

I faced exactly the same problem. The roof had an extremely complex geometry and it was necessary to choose the right roofing material. I was most attracted to multilayer roofing shingles, this option was perfect. Withstands extreme environmental conditions, durable. The supplier turned out to be reliable, everything is in order with the quality.
