Hey everyone, I wanted to share something that’s been on my mind lately. My 10-year-old golden retriever, Bella, has started slowing down. She’s always been full of energy, but these days she’s more sleepy, a little stiff, and just not quite herself. I stumbled upon this article about using rapamycin for pets. The piece argues that rapamycin might boost longevity and improve health-span in our furry friends. Here’s the link I read

I’m torn. On one hand, the idea of giving Bella something that could help her live healthier, longer is really appealing. On the other hand, I worry about side effects, proper dosage, and whether there’s enough solid research in pets. I’ve checked in with her vet, but they’re pretty cautious (which I totally get).

So I’m here hoping to hear from you all:

Has anyone tried rapamycin for their pet?

What was the vet’s reaction, and did you see any real improvement?

What risks or downsides did you experience?

Do you think it’s worth it, or is this just another fad?

I’d really appreciate honest feedback (good or bad). I’m trying to make a well-informed decision for Bella, not just go by hype. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
