Hello there! As I am a foreigner, I was wondering how to get to know girls over here? I have tried to make eye contact or say compliments on some occasions but Latvian girls don't seem to be very sociable. Is that true or they don’t like to talk to strangers or is it just me? I would really like to have some advice. I have heard that in Latvia there are more women than men, so I really don’t understand why they are so shy…
Hey! Yea, it is true that there are more women than men in Latvia. But in my experience I can say that Latvian girls are not so easy to catch as they are quite independent and mostly they want a serious relationship or at least a serious guy. And yea, mostly they don’t want to speak with strangers on the street, especially if they are alone at that moment. To get to know girls, I would suggest to join some interest clubs or meet in the cafe if You and her are regular customers in the same place. A good thing is Tinder or classifieds portals. Dating service in Latvia is possible even if You are a foreigner. I just suggest You not to be too much romantical when You meet a Latvian girl for the first time. Because usually at the start they want to know you as a friend. Good luck! I think in Latvia there are the most beautiful girls in the world!
Thanx, mate. I totally agree. They are really beautiful. That’s why it is hard to pass by without saying anything. :D In Italy it is quite common to meet and talk with a stranger on the street. Italian girls are also quite independent and proudy but they will reply if you're gonna say a compliment. Here it’s a bit harder. Because in general Latvian people are not paying too much attention to what is going around them. So I guess I will try to meet on the internet. Maybe anyone here wants to meet an Italian guy who can be a good friend also? :D I enjoy good food, peaceful walks, watching football and I dance very well. :)
Haha. That's true about Latvians - when we are on the streets, we will not bother too much about the surroundings. It is a bit different in the countryside though - there people will notice if You are from somewhere else. We are trying to be friendlier and I think every new generation is more open-minded especially towards foreigners.
