The Overpass map first appeared in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive https://skins.cash/blog/overpass-map-positions-csgo/ map pool with the Winter Offensive update along with the Cobblestone map.

The action on the map takes place in Germany. A group of terrorists from the Phoenix elite unit decides to blow up a truck with a missile. To do this, they successfully blocked the bridge, slowing down traffic. Terrorists can achieve their goals in two ways:

By blowing up the overpass support on the B site. By blowing up the truck itself at the A site. On the other hand, the GSG-9 Special Forces team, called Border Protection Group 9, is called upon to counter the terrorists. The Special Forces spawn directly on bombsite A.

Although new, the Overpass card is in high demand, including in the professional scene. Many players prefer the map as it combines long and medium distances in an open area.
