It may or it may not be. It is really tough to come at any conclusion right now. No doubt Hero is still enjoying the benefits from its long strong hold on Indian two wheeler market. But this wont last forever.
Hero is always known for its low budget easy maintenance commuter bikes. Their best sellers splendor and passion have aging portfolio and they really need some new launches in that segment. After the termination of joint venture the Honda has done exceptionally well in Indian market. In less than an year or so they have managed to surpass BAJAJ and TVS motor. A glaring weakness for Hero after the break-up with Honda was technology. Hero has the right to use Honda technology till June 2014. But it is moving beyond. In the last two years, it has inked technology tie-ups with three overseas companies: Engines Engineering of Italy for new designs, AVL of Austria for engines, and Erik Buell Racing of the US for premium bikes.
I love sports motorcycles very much and it was always interesting for me to watch various blogs on YouTube about them, but I did not dare to buy myself one that I never rode on them and it is very dangerous. I met a friend who said on this 08 honda cbr600rr at zecycles , I can buy myself one of the sports bike options for a good price. I am grateful to him for his help and I hope I will quickly learn to ride it.
