Generally, leopard geckos feed on insects sold in commercial stores such as crickets, superworms, mealworms, silk, worms, and wax worms. When feeding them with crickets do not provide geckos from those picked up in the backyard garden but only from the ones sold in pet stores. Crickets are basically the favorite diet of a leopard. To make it more nutritious to your pet, it is best to "gut load" these insects a day before serving as a meal. This means that the insects, particularly crickets, are well fed with oats, potatoes, apples, carrots or any commercial cricket food that can be bought in stores. In this way, when fed to geckos nutritional food intake is ensured. Place the crickets near the gecko to make it easier for them to catch if on the other hand they get so difficult to catch by your gecko it is best to remove the rear jumping legs to keep them on the ground. Do not forget that leopard geckos also need water. Constantly clean the water dish to avoid bacteria and fungus to grow. Therefore if you have two or three pets a 20 or 30 gallon should be used. Keep in mind not to place more than one male gecko per enclosure. If you have two male Leopard geckos prepare two tanks as well. Putting them together will lead to chaos or fighting. Covering the tank with a screen is also vital to keep them from jumping out as much as preventing unwanted insects to enter.
