Yes, Magneto is safe enough, but hackers can always get in if they want to. I know that there are companies that offer protection, but I don't really trust it. I am not that worried about it right now, because my store is not big enough for someone to go after it. I plan on getting bigger with Magneto 2 automated marketing extension. It will bring more customers to my store, more customers will be spending more money, and I will have profits. I will think more about protection when my store becomes more popular.
