I thought about this about a month ago and it came back to my mind: Maybe commands that use falling blocks could just execute the command at the armor stand that the machine will spawn or for 1.13 will probably be /as or /at.
I'm sure someone has done this but it's a reasonable idea especially for people who aren't lucky enough to access one command creation generators because of this or that.
